Lush forest that looks like a jungle. Located in Tenerife (Canary Islands), Laurisilva or laurel forests survive on the Anaga and Teno Massifs, in the district of Aguagarcía (in Tacoronte) and on the slopes of Tigaiga (in Los Realejos). Laurisilva is a woodland formation that is considered to be a relic of the woods that covered North Africa and southern Europe twenty million years ago.
