Laboral City of Culture (Gijón, Asturias) is the result of a transformation project the Government of the Principality of Asturias undertook in order to give new life to the building of the old Laboral University of Gijón (Asturias), transforming it into an open and plural 21st Century cultural city, offering space for all kinds of shows and leisure proposals. Built pursuant to classical architectural principles, the central square was to become the heart of this ideal city, around of which there would be a magnificent church, tower, theatre and management buildings. Around this monumental central area of the city, you will find the rest of the buildings, taking up 130.000 square meters.
