La Alberca

(Salamanca)

It was the first town to be declared a Historic-Artistic National in 1940. It is in the province of Salamanca (Castile and León), it existed before the arrival of the Romans, as evidenced by the pre-Roman castro under which a part of the town sits. It has winding streets and houses with balconies full of potted flowers. Its main square is surrounded by arcades and pillars of granite and wood.
