A number of monuments are situated on the steep canyon of the Huécar River Gorge, a spectacular location in front of the historic city of Cuenca (Castilla-La Mancha), which is a World Heritage Site. The area includes what used to be a Dominican convent and church. In the late Gothic church you can find the art collection of local Contemporary Artist Gustavo Torner. The Renaissance convent is currently a National Parador, with a restaurant in what used to be the old refectory and a cafe-bar in the old cloister.
