The Land of Cameros is located south of the province of La Rioja and is part of the Iberian System as well as the neighboring mountain ranges of La Demanda and Cebollera. The district is divided between the Camero Nuevo and the Viejo, separated by the basins of the Iregua and Leza rivers. Inside the Camero Nuevo, south of the capital Logroño, in the Iregua Valley, are a series of narrow ravines sculpted by the force of water.
