With more than 150 years of history, the Romea Theatre is one of the mayor cultural landmarks of Murcia city. It is situated in the historical center of the city. It was built during the second half of the 19th century, with the aim of taking part in the scenic renovation, which was already taking place in the mayor Spanish cities, and of hosting the theatrical performances that already had a long tradition in the capital of the region.
