The Nature reserve of the Sierra de Irta and Natural Reservation Marina de Irta is a privileged place, located in the region of the Baix Maestrat in Peñíscola (Castellón, Valencian Community), it was protected the year 2002. The substratum of calcareous white rock, the spectacular coastal cliffs, its rich vegetation and architectural heritage, join harmoniously in the last section of the coast, along approximately 14 km between France and Almería, which have not been built upon. It is a landscape with a lot of personality, which inspires a sense of paradise to be discovered. It has sustainable tourism that combines coves and beaches for leisure beaches with an ethical conservation of its natural richness.
