During the 1936 bombings of the Civil War, the town of Belchite (Zaragoza, Aragón) was destroyed, almost completely erased, staying the ruins were left as witness of those bloody years. There are historical ruins of the Moorish population of the 16th-17th centuries, it also preserves the old urban layout and structure of various buildings and churches. The Arco de la Villa, El Arco de San Roque, The Clock Tower, The Church St. Augustine, the convent of San Rafael and the Church of San Martin are noteworthy.
