Playa de La Caleta

(Cádiz)

La Caleta is a beach located in the historical center of the city of Cádiz (Andalusia). The beach is the city’s less extensive, and it is isolated from the rest. Its length is 450 meters and has an average width of 50 meters during low tide. In the center of the beach you can see the Balneario de Nuestra Señora de la Palma Real, currently a Centre for Underwater Archaeology. La Caleta beach and its waters are home to a large number of marine species, some endangered, such as the popular moorish crab.
