Pazo de Xelmírez

(La Coruña)

The building is accessed by the door in the Obradoiro Square. After entering through this door in this place in Santiago de Compostela (La Coruña, Galicia) we can see the original Romanesque portico that was covered by the new façade in the 18th century. On the second floor there is an interesting Medieval kitchen and a 13th-century hall used for celebrations and meals. The hall’s most outstanding feature are the corbels supporting the ribs of the arches that hold up the ribbed vault, all of which are decorated with scenes of a Medieval feast.
