Ferrera Park is an English-style public park located in the heart of Avilés (Asturias). For centuries it belonged to different Marquises for their enjoyment in the back of the Ferrera Palace; but in the second half of the 20th century, there were arduous negotiations between the city council and its owners in order to make it a public space that would finally be inaugurated by King Juan Carlos I on May 19, 1976.
