The double-curved vault is designed to contain 115 Hm3 of water and provide, with the three levels of drains (lower, middle and upper) for the evacuation of large amounts of water. The interior is open to the public. The reservoir occupies a large area, with vehicle access, several piers and a small waterfall in the Vilada area.
