The monastery has several architectural styles: late Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The abbey church, which is Baroque, was built between 1734 and 1748. Located in Lugo (Galicia), tt has a Latin cross plan and three naves. The Great Library, 31 m long, holds about 25,000 volumes, and has several incunabula and other documents of great historical value. It has two cloisters. The largest one was built between 1685 and 1689 and has 3,000 square meters (54m. side), which makes it the largest in Spain.
