One of the most original monuments of Spanish Romanesque Art. It was the old Monastery of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta; it is on the way to where the legend runs Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, ‘Spirits’ Mountain’. All that remains of the monastery, located in Soria (Castile and Leon), is the church (12th century) which is noteworthy for the two edicules located on both sides of the presbytery and the Romanesque Cloister (13th century) of Romanesque-moorish and Sicilian Arabic influences; and shaped in an irregular quadrilateral. It houses a Museum, where the medieval parts of the province corresponding to the Hebrew, Islamic, and Christian cultures.
