The Hayedo de Tejera Negra is located northwest of the province of Guadalajara, on the eastern slope of the Ayllón massif (Sistema Central), bordering the province of Segovia. It is located in the municipality of Cantalojas, forming part of Mt. 1027 owned by the JCCM. The Hayedo is conserved in an exceptional microclimate and includes the upper section of two valleys with a typical fluvial profile, the Lillas valley and the Zarzas valley, which are parallel to each other with a unique northwest-southeast orientation.
