It is a terminal station, monumental in size and modernist in style, it opened in 1917. It stands out for its ornamental richness and large size. The building is rectangular with a large hangar and passenger building. This building in Valencia (Valencian Community) has European Secession influences, in particular of Otto Wagner, and is reminiscent of English Perpendicular Gothic along with what would become Rationalism. Its facade, with plant motifs, such as oranges and orange blossoms, is inspired by the Valencian agriculture. The interior ornamentation was done in glazed ceramics, and a mosaic Trencadís.
