The station building in Cartagena (Murcia) is modernist in style. It shows a lot of openings both in arches as well as in small triangular pediments on top. The main entrance is decorated with ceramics and modernist elements, the ledge has a clock on one façade and the name of Cartagena on another. In the early 1970s, the lateral canopies had to be removed, due to their bad state of preservation, leaving the station with a single central marquee.
