In addition to natural and scenic values??, it has an important cultural heritage, making the region of Matarrana (Teruel, Aragon) a quality tourist destination. Out of the eighteen towns in the region, five of have been declared sites of cultural interest (Calaceit, Beceite, La Fresneda, Rafales and Valderrobres). Besides these, the urban centers of Monroyo, Penyarroya de Tastavins or Torre del Compte or are of keen interest. The existence of walled enclosures, doors and panoramic views make these towns monumental beauties. The masías (farm estates) are noteworthy.
