Centro Niemeyer (Avilés, Asturias) is a cultural centre complex designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and it is his only work in Spain. The cultural complex is formed by five main elements that complement each other: the open square is a large open outdoor space for cultural activities; the auditorium contains approximately 1000 seats for several activities and has extra spaces; the dome is the exhibition building; the tower is for sight-seeing and the multi-purpose building.
