The Castillo de la Mota (Medina del Campo, Valladolid) is one of the better preserved and more important historical fortresses of Castile and León. It was built in the 15th and 16th centuries. It includes: – Pre-historical archaeological deposits – Walls from the 12th century and ruins of the Church of San Salvador – The castle’s exterior – Parade ground – Chapel – Juan de la Cosa’s Salon The most important element is its square keep tower, 38 m high and 13,5 m of wide in every side of his exterior perimeter.
