The fortress stands on a rock 8 kilometres from Sangüesa in the Central Zone of Navarre, in the province of Pamplona. Cross the drawbridge and enter a world of towers, dungeons, machicolations, embrasures and arrow slits, enabling you to discover the place where Francis Xavier was born (in 1506) and lived. He was later the co-founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and one of the most universal missionaries.
