The Fresno de Cantespino gullies are spectacular geological formations that reflect the rich history of the area, from Roman (El Cubillo fountain) and Visigothic remains (Castiltierra necropolis) to an important medieval fortress and its role in the Song of El Cid, witnessing battles such as that of Corporario (1002), and a centre for local pottery, highlighting its architecture (Church of San Nicolás de Bari, Ermita del Cristo) and its past as the head of the Community of Villa y Tierra.
