Can Bartomeu

(Barcelona)

Can Bartomeu is a 17th century construction and has the typical basilica structure. The engraving on the ground, just at the entrance to the enclosure, is dated 1662. However, it preserves previous elements, such as the two oopial windows in the Gothic tradition, turned on at the end of the 15th century. The building was modified and expanded in 1779. From that time we find the side arcaded gallery. The balcony is later, from the 19th century and even more the lateral body perpendicular to the façade, with a lookout tower, from 1942. Acquired by the City Council, it currently functions as a cultural center and headquarters of various entities of the town.
