Campo de Criptana is a Spanish municipality belonging to the province of Ciudad Real, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. It is located in the natural region of La Mancha, within the sub-county called Mancha Alta. It is part of the commonwealth of Promancha. In the town there is a large sample of the typical mills against which Don Quixote fought in chapter VIII of the universal book of Cervantes, thus becoming a hallmark of La Mancha. Out of a total of ten mills, three date from the 16th century: Burleta Mill, Infanto Mill and Sardinero Mill.
