Marqués de Riscal is the oldest and most traditional winery in Rioja Alavesa. Founded in 1860, this winery in Elciego (Álava, Basque Country) hosts the hotel designed by Frank O. Gehry, famous for the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. The building is designed with rectilinear prisms floating above the ground held by three great columns that support the building. Its exterior of colored titanium in the shape of a metallic waterfall give it its avant-garde appearance.
