Spain Film Commission doubles its number of associates at FOCUS London 2025

Madrid, 11 December 2025 – Spain Film Commission (SFC) has participated once again in FOCUS London, a key event for the European and international audiovisual sector held on 8 and 9 December at the Business Design Centre in London. This event, which brings together professionals from the creation, production and promotion of audiovisual entertainment, has been an ideal setting to continue positioning Spain as one of the most attractive destinations for international film shoots in all sectors of the audiovisual industry.

This year, SFC has significantly expanded its presence, with the participation of 15 members of the association, double last year’s figure. Specifically, they have attended Alicante Film Office, Andalucía Film Commission, Aragón Film Commission, Cantabria Film Commission, Castilla-La Mancha Film Commission Catalunya Film Commission, Ibiza Film Commission, Madrid Film Office, Mallorca Film Commission, Murcia Region Film Commission, Rías Baixas Film Commission, Terrassa Film Commission – Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya, Galicia Film Commission, Valencia Film Office, and Valladolid Film Commission. This extensive deployment reflects the growing interest of the Spanish authorities in attracting the attention of the global entertainment industry and promoting audiovisual content created in our country, Spain.

With its own stand located next to that of the Valencian Community, dedicated to promoting Ciudad de la Luz (Alicante), SFC highlighted the many advantages of filming in Spain, such as its geographical and cultural diversity, its first-class infrastructure and attractive tax incentives. At this meeting, professionals from the sector were able to see first-hand the exceptional conditions Spain offers for audiovisual production.

In addition, Spain Film Commission has strengthened its relationship with other key entities in the sector, participating in activities organised by the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN), the British Film Commission and Olsberg SPI, the consulting firm that, together with SFC, conducted the Study on the Economic Impact of International Filming in Spain.

The association also attended events organised by the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI), interacting with location professionals and production managers, and participated in a session organised by the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI), which addressed key industry issues alongside leading industry representatives, including executives from Amazon MGM Studios.

With this, the Spain Film Commission concludes its participation this year in the most important international markets, with the aim of continuing to consolidate Spain as a global benchmark in the audiovisual industry, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the country as a preferred destination for international production and contributing to the visibility and strengthening of the European audiovisual sector.
