The Kursaal Center is a multipurpose, modern and innovative infrastructure, in the very center of the city and facing the sea on the beach. The building’s architect, Rafael Moneo, designed two translucent glass cubes as “two stranded rocks” in an attempt to “perpetuate geography and underscore the harmony between the natural and the man-made.” It has unlimited spaces, which can be adapted and customized to host all kinds of events such as congresses, meetings and cultural activities, among which the annual celebration of the San Sebastian International Film Festival stands out.
