Medinaceli was the dividing border between Christians and Muslims; its labyrinth streets are so narrow that in some cases its walls can be touched with outstretched arms. It was a strategic place for centuries; Throughout its 2000 years of history, Romans, Arabs and north Christian kingdoms settled on its lands.   Medinaceli is made up of twelve population centers, being Medinaceli Villa the best known of all and declared a Historic-Artistic Complex in 1962, thanks to its heritage, much of it declared as a Site of Cultural Interest, and its impeccable medieval flavour. It is more than 1200 meters high, its winters are snowy and its climate is dry. It is located 150km from Madrid through the A2 highway.
