Albéniz theater

(Barcelona)

The Albéniz Room is a modernist theater designed by the architect Ramón Mª Riudor Capilla. It was inaugurated in 1911 and until 1978 it was owned by the Casino de Tiana, the entity that promoted the construction. The name of the theater is a tribute to the memory of Isaac Albéniz on the occasion of his stays in the town. In 1978, the Tiana City Council bought the theater making it the center of town. Nine years later, in 1987, the rehabilitation works began. Currently it is the setting par excellence for activities in the town.
