Cibeles Palace

(Madrid)

The CentroCentro Cibeles Cultural and Civic Centre is a contemporary cultural centre that was inaugurated in 2008. It is located in one of the most emblematic buildings of Madrid: the Cibeles Palace, built at the start of the 20th century to house the headquarters of the Post Office, and the current home of Madrid City Council. During its restoration, its monumental and functional nature was preserved, characterised by the use of stone, iron and glass, and the original open spaces. It blends tradition and modernity.
