The walled outer enclosure of the castle is joined to the walls that descend to Belmonte. The floor of the castle is very peculiar, denominated of “structure gripped”, built on an equilateral triangle with two bodies on two of its sides, and on the other, the keep; triangle that, through the outer barrier, becomes a polygon of nine sides with turrets at the vertices. In the interior rooms, galleries, the chapel, and several arches are conserved Its unique floor plan and its palatial interior, decorated with luxurious Mudejar ceilings in its halls and galleries, make this castle one of the most emblematic of Spain.
