The General Hospital of La Mancha Centro was built at the end of the 80s, but had an important reform in 2008 that made it what it is: a reference hospital for 4 provinces. It depends directly on the General Hospital of Ciudad Real and SESCAM (Health Service of Castilla La Mancha) and serves about 250,000 people. Currently it has more than 400 beds, 13 operating rooms, 4 delivery rooms and imaging, intensive care or emergency units.
