Cobijeru complex, formed by the beach and cave of the same name, is located in the town of Buelna, in Llanes (Asturias) and is considered a geomorphological singularity of the coast. It is also categorized as a Natural Monument since 2012 and included in the Protected Landscape of the Eastern Coast of Asturias. The beach has the peculiarity of being isolated from the coast, connecting with the sea through a crack of tens of meters, being thus subject to tides and waves. It is separated from the coast by an eroded rocky outcrop giving rise on one side to a stone arch, which is called “Salto del Caballo”, and on the other to the opening of a blowhole. Inside the cave (karstic origin) you can see stalactites and stalagmites, as well as muddy sediments.
