The lighthouse of Avilés, also called lighthouse of San Juan is located in the oriental margin of the estuary entrance of Avilés, concretely in the small town of Laviana, belonging to the municipality of Gozón (Asturias). Its construction began in 1861 and it has a height of 40 meters above sea level and 15 meters above the ground.
