Atocha Railway Station in Madrid is part of history with a capital H. It combines the architectural richness of the 1892 station with its classic metallic roof, along with the more innovative design of the new arrivals area. The ancient nave of platforms is currently a large greenhouse with a tropical garden with more than 500 animal and plant species. Other highlights in the station are the exterior sculptures by Antonio Lopez and the monument to the victims of the 11M Train Bombings.
