Palacete y Patio Can Vivot

(Islas Baleares)

Can Vivot is the largest Baroque house in Palma, it is a complex of buildings of very different eras. The plan is rectangular, with facades to two streets and its courtyard is one of the most monumental of Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands). The staircase has an imperial layout and is located at the end of a gallery. On one of its sides, which has an entrance from the street, there is another courtyard, which was originally used as horse stables, with an arched gallery balustrade decorated with marble busts, which serves as the background to the view from the entrance. Its highlights include the allegorical ceiling paintings of Guiseppe Dardarone and the library, with its archive and the stained glass window of Antonio Soldatti.
