Patio de Escuelas Menores de la Universidad de Salamanca

(Salamanca)

It is one of Salamanca’s most typical monuments. The facade´s style of this beautiful building in Castile and Leon is indebted to the University’s façade, as can be seen in its two arches supported by a granite column, as well as in the spandrels’ beautiful carvings. The arches support a tripartite body, in the center of which we find the shield with the double-headed imperial eagle. Crossing the threshold we arrive to a hall, which is partly open and partly covered by a Gothic vault.
