The Floridablanca Garden is a public garden created in the mid 1800s, which makes it the city’s oldest garden. It is located in the Barrio del Carmen, on the right side of the Segura River. It is dedicated to one of the region’s most prominent figures, Don José Moñino y Redondo, Count of Floridablanca, chief minister of King Charles III and King Charles IV, president of the Supreme Junta of Murcia and, shortly before his death, the president of the Supreme Central and Governmental Junta.(source: wikipedia)
