Due to the International Exhibition 2008 ‘Water and sustainable development’, Zaragoza (Aragon) has undergone a major transformation leaving a valuable legacy. Highlights include the Bridge Pavilion designed by Zaha Hadid; the Spanish Pavilion, a climatically sustainable building; the Aragon Pavilion, which resembles a wicker basket; the Congress Palace by Nieto Sobejano; the Water Tower, which is 76 meters high; and the river Aquarius, which is the largest inland aquarium in Europe.
