Terminal 4 del Aeropuerto de Madrid-Barajas

(Madrid)

The Terminal 4, the expansion of Madrid Barajas Airport, was the work of Richard Rogers, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Located in Madrid, the work is based on three ideas: the undulating ceilings, columns in pairs, and a range of rainbow colors, from dark blue to red through yellow. The design responds to demands for energetic and economic efficiency. The striking undulating roof is plywood veneered with metal frame.
