Public park with gardens and architectural elements designed by Antoni Gaudi, the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernism. Located in Barcelona (Catalonia), it was built between 1900 and 1914, and in 1984 Unesco declared it a World Heritage Site. It belongs to the Catalan architect’s the naturalistic period, with inspiration from the organic forms of nature, which uses undulating shapes, like rivers of lava, and covered walkways with pillars that are shaped like trees, stalactites and geometric shapes. It has imaginative decoration made of pieces of ceramic or glass in order to create colored mosaics (Trencadís).
